Who we are
This website is operated for Shin Family Medicine & Laser Center, 2780 Skypark Drive, Suite 200, Torrance, CA 90505. This policy covers the website only. How we protect your health information as a patient is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
Information collected when you visit
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time. These logs are used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems.
- Your display preferences. If you use the “Text size & contrast” settings, your choices are stored only in your own browser on your device. They are not sent to us.
- Appointment request form. Our Request an appointment page has a form provided by our scheduling and messaging service. If you send it, the details you enter — your name, phone number, email, the kind of visit you would like, your preferred day, time and language, and any note — go to our office so our front desk can contact you, and we email you a confirmation that we received your request. The form also receives technical information, such as the page you were on and how you reached our site, and it may save small settings in your browser. It uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. Please don’t include detailed medical information in the form; we’ll go over that with you by phone.
- No accounts. This website does not ask you to create an account or log in.
- No advertising or tracking tools. We do not use advertising pixels, session recording, or third-party chat tools, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
Links to other websites
Some links take you to other websites, such as Google Maps or independent review sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which govern any information you give them.
“Do Not Track” signals
Because this website does not track visitors across other websites, it does not change its behavior in response to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
Children
This website is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security and changes
The website is delivered over an encrypted HTTPS connection. If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new “last updated” date. If we add features that collect information, we will describe them here first.
