A physician-led practice in Torrance
Shin Family Medicine & Laser Center is the practice of Peter B. Shin, M.D., a family medicine physician licensed by the Medical Board of California since 1989. The practice brings together two kinds of care: family medicine for adults and children, and a physician-directed skin and laser clinic.
Patients come to us for checkups and ongoing care, and some also visit our skin and laser clinic. Longtime patients may remember our former office on Hawthorne Boulevard. Today, we see patients at our current office on Skypark Drive.
Dr. Shin’s approach: one physician who knows you
“I care about you and want to be your personal physician,” Dr. Shin says. His approach to family medicine centers on “an ongoing, personal relationship with one physician” — a doctor who knows you, your lifestyle and your family’s medical history.
“As your primary care physician, I focus on preventative medicine and education by periodic reviews of your health,” he explains. Seeing the same physician over time can make changes in your health easier to notice and talk about.

The idea behind our practice is simple: care for your health and your skin in the same office. You might come in for a physical and ask about a sun spot, or visit for a cosmetic treatment and learn it’s time for a checkup.
Because both kinds of care are part of one medical practice, your health history, medicines and allergies are part of the conversation before any skin or laser treatment.

Our current office on Skypark Drive
Our current office is in Suite 200 of the Airport Atrium building at 2780 Skypark Drive, Torrance, CA 90505 — near Skypark Drive and Garnier Street, just south of Lomita Boulevard. The building has on-site surface parking.
If a map app or online directory shows our former Hawthorne Boulevard address, please use the Skypark Drive address instead.
- Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM (2nd & 4th Saturdays)
- Sunday: Closed
Please call before your visit — the office may close on some Thursdays and over the lunch hour. Get directions and parking details.
